Measuring Distance

DSCN8127blu

Pale Blue Light

TV flickers
Two feet apart
They go to bed
Separate rooms
Deep gulf

Afghanistan
He sits
Her writing
There's someone else
Galaxy away

Stone monuments
Gray skies
Clods of dirt
Fingers locket
She'll follow

In pale blue light
Love searched for
Hand reaches out
Only inches apart
